Through working hand-in-hand with China, the company has expanded its market around the world, and its competitiveness has been sharpened greatly as a result.
“The market here is growing fast owing to the stable and open economy in China, as well as the improved business climate. And you can find our factories in Germany and also in the United States. Indeed, we are serving the world’s market. The CIIE is a very important platform to represent our company to potential partners. It also sends a strong signal to the world that China is very important in the manufacturing industry,” Janfried A. Tirre remarked.

Andrea Valle, Tubing Lines BU Manager of Olivotto Glass Technologies, indicated he has many expectations for this promising land in his first visit to China.
“The Chinese market is very, very important for us. So that's why we are here at this year’s CIIE and maybe we will be here next year. Our company has had connections with China since the early 1970s, and we have customers in different fields of glass products,” Andrea Valle said and then further commented, “In his keynote speech, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that we should work together for an open world economy in a cooperative, innovative, and sharing way which we totally agree. We really hope that our company with our advanced technology can seize this opportunity at this historical moment, since an open market is really important for us and for the world!”

For Lionel Thomas, Deputy General Manager & Sales Executive Manager of Atermes in France, the Chinese market is a quite familiar place since the company has already had cooperation with a local firm in Chengdu for about 16 years.
“This exhibition is a great opportunity for all foreign companies, especially for us as we have built a very strong connection with an institute in Chengdu to create a technical solution for the border surveillance in China.” When sharing his reflections on the international cooperation opportunities in China, Lionel Thomas said, “I agree with Chinese President who proposed to build a global economy in a cooperative way. I think it is very important to create opportunities to share our technology with a major country as China. For us, it is not only an opportunity to do business in China, but also doing business outside of China, such as in many countries of Asia and the Middle East, as well as countries along the Belt and Road routes.”
