China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have set an example for the world in jointly fighting the pandemic, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday.
The people of the three countries went to each other's aid and left many touching stories, Wang said at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual national legislative session.
Amid continued efforts to prevent and control the pandemic, it is the common task of the three countries to restore economic development as soon as possible, he added.
They should prevent a rebound in COVID-19 infections, share information and experience, and strengthen cooperation on medicine and vaccine research.
Wang also called for more efforts to stabilize industrial and supply chains and raise the level of regional economic cooperation.
"China is ready to work with Japan, the ROK and other countries to completely defeat COVID-19 at an early date, restore economic vitality in East Asia, and promote development in our region and the world with oriental wisdom and strength," he noted.
