The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held from November 5 to 10, 2018 in Shanghai. This is the first world-level expo taking “import” as its theme.

Holding the expo is a major decision made by China to push forward a new round of high-level opening-up. It is also a strategic move on the part of China to open its market wider to the world. Representatives from a total of 172 countries, regions and international organizations from the five Continents will gather here to showcase their national images and achievements in the area of development. And 3,600 enterprises from various countries will hold business talks with domestic and foreign buyers in China. They will also hold discussions and exchange views on major issues concerning international economy and trade, and global governance.

China is ready to work with other countries and international organizations to make CIIE a world-class expo that will open up new channels for international trade and cooperation, and promote common prosperity of the world.
