Greece, which has been a regular at the China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) in Shanghai since its inception in 2018, kept its date with the seventh edition of the CIIE as well with an expanded presence.

The 7th CIIE, held from November 5 to 10, saw the participation of 20 Greek companies under the aegis of Enterprise Greece, the official investment and trade promotion agency of Greece.
Besides the national pavilion, Greek products were also displayed at a 200-square-meter sectoral pavilion in the food and agricultural products section.
Highlighting the important role of Greek exporters in the Chinese market, the Greek Consul General in Shanghai, Georgios Partheniou, said the CIIE has a pivotal role in forging relations between China and Greece, particularly, in the commercial and economic fields.

Partheniou also visited the booth of shipping and logistics service giant COSCO Shipping, where he was briefed on the company's current activities in Greece.
COSCO has given a new lease of life to Greece’s once ailing Port of Piraeus, helping it turn around to boost the economy of Greece.
In an interview to CGTN, Partheniou said Greece has been participating in the CIIE since its inauguration and will continue to do so in the future.
